Within the framework of European data protection legislation (General Data Protection Regulation (AVG or GDPR)), we are pleased to provide you with the following information on the processing of your personal data. Protection of your data

Data is protected in strict compliance with the principles contained in European directives on the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC ("GDPR"). All personal data you provide to us is stored on a secure computer server in Europe. Among other things, this ensures lawful and fair processing of the data we hold about you. We keep your data up to date and do not keep the information longer than necessary. BAWP acts as the data controller.

Data is secured to prevent unauthorised access by third parties. You are entitled to inspect your data and have any inaccuracies corrected or deleted. If you wish to exercise your rights, please send an e-mail.

For whom is this privacy declaration?

This privacy statement mainly concerns the processing of personal data of its current and former members, customers and of their staff, of persons who have shown interest in our services and of persons with whom BAWP and its staff come into contact in the context of its mission and activities (business cards, electronic signatures...).

What personal data does BAWP process?

BAWP keeps records of: your contact details: for example, name, first name, title of address, language, e-mail address, telephone number, position within your organisation,...

If you are an employee of a BAWP member, we use this data in the context of the services provided by BAWP to our members. If you are a person with whom BAWP and our employees come into contact in the context of its mission and activities, we use this data in the context of BAWP's mission to promote the interests of our members and of the crop protection industry in general.

If you register for an electronic service or for one of our events: we register your data with your consent. You can always unsubscribe in a simple way. Send us an e-mail to do so.

If you are an employee of an organisation or company that has a contractual relationship with BAWP (e.g. a supplier, a customer...), we use this data within the framework of the execution of this contractual relationship.

We use these data to inform you about the news and events organised by BAWP and our partners concerning these matters. Furthermore, we may also store your responses or feedback we receive from you in the context of events.

We may use data from external partners to improve, supplement or update your personal data.

What does BAWP do with this data?

If you are an employee of a BAWP member:
Your data are processed for the organisation of BAWP services to our members (e.g. communication, meetings, Working Groups and Committees in the context of your company's BAWP membership). Your data are also used to inform you about the activities of BAWP, about current affairs relevant to companies in the sector and about events organised by BAWP.

If you are a person with whom BAWP and our staff come into contact in the context of our mission and activities: Your data is processed as part of BAWP's mission to represent the interests of the sector and promote good agricultural practices.

If you register for our services:
Your data will be processed for the follow-up of your registration and of any comments or complaints in this context.

If you register for one of our events:
The data you provide us with in the context of registering for the event are processed for the follow-up of your registration and your possible comments in this context, general customer management, including accounting processing, management of disputes and legal proceedings, the collection or transfer of claims and the protection of our rights in general. For certain events, participants will receive a simplified list of participants with the participants' names, first names, organisation and e-mail address.

Your data are also used to inform you about BAWP's other activities, about current affairs relevant to companies of the sector and about events organised by BAWP.

If you are an employee of an organisation or a company that has a contractual relationship with BAWP:
Your data are processed for the follow-up of the order and your possible comments or complaints in this context, for general customer and supplier management, including accounting processing, management of disputes and legal proceedings, the collection or transfer of claims and the protection of our rights in general.

If you visit our website: your data are used to improve your browsing experience and for the compilation of anonymous statistics regarding the quality of the website.

In certain cases, we are legally obliged to process and/or communicate your personal data to competent authorities or bodies determined by law.

Transfer of your personal data to third parties

In principle, your data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.
In certain exceptional cases, your personal data may be passed on to third parties without your consent. More specifically: to subcontractors within the framework of activities linked to the activities of BAWP; to competent authorities or bodies designated by law within the framework of legal and regulatory obligations.

How long does BAWP keep your data?

hytofar keeps your personal data until such time as BAWP is notified that your relationship with BAWP has come to an end (e.g. you are no longer an employee of a BAWP member, you are no longer working at a cabinet, you are no longer a contracting party of BAWP, you unsubscribe from the newsletter, etc.), unless a statutory retention period applies e.g. a statutory limitation period. In the specific case of job applications, non-reserved applicants are included in a recruitment reserve for 2 years.

We protect your personal data.

We do everything in our power to secure your personal data and protect your privacy as much as possible. We take all measures technically and organisationally necessary to do so.

You can exercise your rights by contacting us. You will be asked to prove your identity. You can consult your data at any time. If your details are incorrect, you can ask BAWP to correct, supplement and/or update them. Your details are transferable when they are processed with your permission and/or by automated means.

In certain cases (as provided for in articles 17, 18 and 21 of the General Data Protection Regulation) you may oppose the processing of your data by BAWP and/or request that BAWP erases your data. If the processing of your data is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This withdrawal is then only valid for the future. You can always contact the Data Protection Authority for questions or complaints.

Modification of this privacy statement

If our privacy statement changes in any way, we will publish an updated version on the website. Regularly reviewing this page will ensure that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances, if any, we will disclose it to other parties. All changes will take effect at the time of publication on our website.
